Overview: Though the Oncenter is gargantuan in size, housing a plethora of diverse venues, perhaps the section most frequented by students is the Convention Center. Not only are the majority of concerts held here (the major reason why Syracuse University students attend events at the Oncenter), many sororities and fraternities on campus hold formal and social events here as well.
The physical layout of the Convention Center is extremely spacious, and includes a connected 1000+ car-parking garage, a large and aesthetically pleasing atrium, a 15,000 square foot ballroom, and a 65,000 square foot multipurpose exhibit hall. The majority of the concerts SU students attend are held in the multipurpose exhibit hall, which can house thousands of people for any given event.
